Auto Body Management System - Found it.

Post  Admin on Fri Dec 14, 2007 5:48 pm

Auto Body Management Systems need to have strong jobcosting and accounting. The CC3 management system from CCT, Combined Computer Technology, has an integrated accounting system written just for the body shop industry. Most of the other systems use 3rd party accounting systems like Quickbooks that are unwieldly because they don't connect directly to Repair Order. So that create double work.

The CC3 body shop management system has been in development for about 15 years now. CCT was founded by Stuart McColl who used to work as a programmer for Mitchell International and has a Business School degreee in Accounting. It's a solid piece of software that has been installed in 40 of the 50 states in the US, and is now being distributed in Canada. CC3 support Canadian PST and GST tax structure.

It's easy to download a demo at www.softwarehero.com . There is plenti of information at that website.

Check it out.

I located this story http://newsblaze.com/story/2007012414200300003.ew/topstory.html regarding CCT and Auto Body Software. Looks like CCT has been at it several years and is pretty successful.

Scanner eliminates the copier

Post  Admin on Tue Jul 14, 2009 4:51 am

We never use the copier in the shop anymore, there is almost no paper at all in the RO folder as everything is scanned right into the RO when we post invoices or checks, and, all of that cross references into the accounting system built in. My friend has a shop across town with some other management system where you can scan the invoices into the RO, but they don't get scanned into the accounting system because it is Quickbooks, so it's still double effort and paper all over the place. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
